What is sober living?

Sober living is residential living for individuals who have completed drug or alcohol treatment programs. Sober living is, usually, not exclusive to people only leaving treatment; some facilities will accept people off the street. The point of sober living is to reintegrate recovering addicts/alcoholics back into society.

Why is sober living important?

Sober living is extremely important because of the community of recovering addicts/alcoholics inside of the homes. Sober living homes can offer a tremendous experience of how to cope with life, without the seclusion of treatment, while also having the peer support at home. Structure, accountability, respect, and tolerance of others is a big part of learning at sober living.
